The Eleanor Elizabeth
at this moment has no sails,
But woah, she’s got a body
sitting on a stable set of wheels.
And for now she’s rock-n-rolling
down a kind of curvy road,
Heading toward a bright horizon
full of possibilities untold.
After a talk about life’s unforeseeable nature and my plans to resurrect the sails of a boat I stumbled upon, my friend Kallie wrote this poem for me. My plan was to name the boat for my two nieces, Eleanor and Elizabeth. I shot this picture while taking in the sunset from the Montrose Harbor, Chicago.
